Gustavo Menezes

has been racing for over 15 years and is one of the brightest American talents in International Motorsport. After beginning his career in the U.S. kart scene at just 5 years old, Gustavo was fast-tracked to Europe where he became a factory driver for the famous Italian team, Tonykart. Having raced karts from 2001 until 2010, Gustavo graduated into single-seater motorsport in the ever popular Formula Renault and Star Mazda class, showing flashes of pace and real potential.

With his sights set on reaching the top level of world motorsport, Gustavo signed with a leading talent management agency at the end of a full season in Star Mazda in 2012, and it was decided that he should move to Europe and compete there, putting himself against some of the the world’s most talented young racers.

After a successful season in the highly esteemed German Formula 3 Championship in 2013, which featured multiple race wins and podium finishes, the decision was made to place Gustavo in a series which is largely regarded as the premier single-seater championship in junior world motorsport – The FIA European Formula 3 Championship (‘FIA F3’) which is what Gustavo competed in for the 2014 & 2015 seasons. In 2014 alongside current F1 driver Max Verstappen, Gustavo had a very impressive season, scoring multiple podium finishes in addition to claiming the pole position at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium. Gustavo carried this momentum into 2015 which brought him to the attention of the French manufacturer Alpine who tested Gustavo in the LMP-2 car in Bahrain. The test was a great Success and Gustavo enters the 2016 season as a Factory Alpine motor racing driver in the world renowned (‘FIA World Endurance Championship’) alongside Nico Lapierre and Stephané Richelmi.
